HOW IT WORKS
Activating nature’s own defence system
Plants have evolved sophisticated defence mechanisms to deter herbivores. When animals browse on trees and shrubs, the plants release volatile signalling compounds, such as ethylene and salicylic acid, which alert neighbouring vegetation and stimulate the production of tannins. This defensive response also alters herbivore behaviour, prompting animals to move away from the affected area. Simply applying tannins directly to a plant does not trigger the same systemic response in surrounding vegetation.

Sylvatica Bioprotect™ is a 100% natural, plant-derived formulation designed to mimic the defensive properties of naturally unpalatable plants. By inducing an unpalatable response in targeted vegetation, it provides a sustainable, non-toxic solution for protecting plants against herbivore damage.
